AVIO helps users estimate calories and nutrition from food photos, keep a food diary, and receive nutrition-related recommendations. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
Data We Collect
We may collect food photos submitted by you, meal descriptions, nutrition diary entries, weight logs, profile details you enter, workout history, device/session identifiers, and technical data needed to operate the service. If you grant permission, AVIO may also read selected Apple Health data, such as steps, sleep, weight, and resting heart rate.
How We Use Data
We use data to provide food photo analysis, calculate approximate calories and macros, maintain your diary, personalize recommendations, personalize workout plans, show progress and recovery context, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, and operate the application.
Photos and AI Processing
Food photos are sent to our server and may be processed by AI providers, including OpenAI, to estimate ingredients, calories, and nutrition values. AI results are approximate and may be inaccurate. AVIO is not a medical service.
Apple Health
Apple Health access is optional and read-only. AVIO uses only the categories you authorize to provide progress and recovery context. Health data is not used for advertising, is not sold, and does not replace professional medical advice.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share data only with service providers needed to operate the app, such as hosting, database, authentication, hosting, database, and AI processing providers.
Data Retention
We keep data while your account/session is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms. You may request deletion of your data by contacting support.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Children
AVIO is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us so we can review and delete it where required.
